Spraying activities

Spray drift can affect human health and nearby crops that are not the target of spraying. 

There are currently no national guidelines for managing spraying drift, but Waikato Regional Council has rules and requirements for agrichemical spraying in the Waikato region.

Spraying agrichemicals

Image not foundAgrichemicals are chemicals (other than fertiliser) used to manage plant diseases and pests. They include fungicides, insecticides and herbicides.

Managing spray drift

There are currently no national guidelines for managing spraying drift.

Waikato Regional Council has rules and requirements for agrichemical spraying in the Waikato region.  These are set out in Waikato Regional Plan.
