Visitor parking at our Hamilton office

Visitor and mobility parks

The visitor parks are located at 158 Ward Street, which is next to our building (to the right of the ramp going down to our building's basement). There are six non-bookable visitor car parks

  • There are two 30-minute parks that operate on a first-in, first-served basis. These are for public visitors who wish to pay for permits or rates or have queries.
  • The remaining four parks are available for general visitors who require between 1 and 3 hours of parking. These are also non-bookable.

Short term on-street parking is also available on Ward Street. Located around the city are car parks with time limits, but you may need to allow for additional time to find an available car park.

Just a 5 minute walk away, you can also pay for parking at:

  • Centre Place Carpark at 61 Bryce Street.
  • Garden Place Car Park at 1 Anglesea Street.

Mobility car parks

There are three mobility car parks located internally at 160 Ward Street.

To access the mobility parks:

  • There is a ramp located at the back of the 158 Ward Street parks, that provides access to the internal mobility parks.
  • Once inside the car park, mobility parks are located in the far left-hand corner.
  • To gain internal entry into the building, you will need to use the intercom to call the reception team. You will then be given access into the building.

For guests and presenters

There is no long-term parking available at 160 Ward Street, Hamilton.

If you are a voting member of a committee and you are attending a committee meeting or workshop at 160 Ward Street, you will be informed of parking arrangements separately.

For all others attending committee meetings, workshops or other events, please plan ahead to avoid delays finding a park.

It is suggested that you use one of the two parking facilities which are a short walk to 160 Ward Street. They are:

  • Centre Place Carpark – 61 Bryce Street
  • Garden Place Car Park – 1 Anglesea Street.

Public transport

We are located just across the road from the Transport Centre. If you don't want to worry about parking, it couldn't be easier to catch the bus into the city centre and come see us!

Bikes and other small transport options

We're just across the road from Norris Ward Park. The park has a sheltered area where you can park your bike or other small means of transport.
