The Willis reports

The Willis report (2014) outlines the roles and responsibilities of regional councils towards biodiversity.

This report identifies the regional council’s statutory responsibilities under the Resource Management Act to maintain indigenous biodiversity on private land.

This document was contributed to by our Chief Executive, alongside other leaders with responsibilities towards biodiversity protection. It describes difficulties in addressing biodiversity loss and identifies five shifts that would assist regional councils to halt biodiversity decline;
